Mongolian Gobi Desert Tour 5 days

Your journey begins with an 8:00 AM pickup from your accommodation as we head toward the South Gobi. While the drive is long, the changing scenery—mountain ranges, gentle hills, and the vast open steppe—makes the experience enjoyable and far from monotonous.By the afternoon, we reach Tsagaan Suvarga, also known as the White Stupa.Located in Dundgobi Province, this remarkable cliff formation was once part of an ancient seabed. Over millions of years, natural processes have shaped its colorful sedimentary layers. The cliff faces east, and from a distance, its structure resembles the remains of an ancient city, which is how it earned the name “White Stupa.” Rising up to 60 meters high and stretching about 400 meters in length, the formation appears almost vertical. After rainfall, water streams down the cliff face, creating a striking waterfall-like effect. We then continue to Dalanzadgad to refuel before driving on to our lodge, set in the open landscapes of the Gobi steppe. For the night, you will stay in a comfortable traditional Mongolian ger. We would visit local nomad herder family untill lunch time where you would have chance to experience the way of nomad life from up close. We will have chance to talk and learn the nomad culture in their ger. Expect lot more at the place. After lunch you would have some time rest and then we would drive to Bayanzag area. known as Flaming cliffs. The place is also called as "Cradle of Dinosaurs," The first nest of dinosaur eggs ever discovered was found in 1922. The site was famous for the remains of a dinosaur that lived here 60 million years ago. We would walk around where dinosaurs once roamed and see saxaul trees and other classic desert vegetation. The red colored cliffs themselves are very imposing from a distance, and are particularly fiery in the light of the setting sun. We would come to the same lodge and will enjoy the evening (B,L,D)

Khongor sand dune is one of Mongolia"s largest and most spectacular dunes, standing as high as 200 meters above the ground, 7-8 km wide, and 180 km long. Climbing the dunes is breathtaking, not only for the view at the top. It surprises climbers that the dunes make a singing sound while you climb; that is why it is nicknamed the singing dunes. ​ The sand dunes make you feel extraordinary comfort and infinite peace. Once we get there, we will ride a camel along the Khongor sand dunes. The two-humped Bactrian camels are very comfortable to ride as they walk slowly and gently. You will be well supported by the humps, sitting comfortably between them. We would stay at touristic lodge. (B,L,D)

After having breakfast, we will drive to Yol Valley (Vulture Canyon) which nestles between the beautiful peaks of Gurvansaikhan of the Three Beauties. After arrival at the canyon, we will take a 2-hour hike through the canyon and may be able to see parts of a glacier left over from the winter months. It depends on your travel timing if you are travelling in spring you will definitely see it. We have also chance to ride horse in this valley. After the valley we will visit a small museum that the park runs. By late afternoon we would get to Dalanzadgad city and stay at hotel(B,L,D)

After breakfast at hotel, we will drive heading north to Ulaanbaatar. We would have some stops on the way by some beautiful spots and have lunch in Mandalgobi city. Then by late afternoon we would get to Ulaanbaatar and get dropped at your accommodation(B,L,D)
